In the production of pipes and bright steel so-called funnels are used for threading in the production plants. In most cases funnels made of polyamide are used, but due to the material hardness and the sharp-edged pipe ends wear out very quickly.

It depends on the material sphere

As an alternative, secutex offers polyurethane funnels for this purpose. In contrast to polyamide, these are softer from the material and therefore also more wear-resistant than sharp-edged pipe ends. This means longer service life for the customer as well as better surface protection for very sensitive materials.

With securoll secutex offers a specially developed coating for cylinders and rolls, which is cast in form or applied directly onto the roller core. During product development the vast experience of secutex with all types of coatings was introduced.
secutex supplies a wide selection of securoll for almost any application. Material hardnesses of 55°-90° Shore are supplied. The innovative process ensures high precision in the coating with very low tolerances as well as optimum and long-term bonding between the cylinder/roller core and the securoll material. This ensures that the securoll-coated cylinders and rollers have a a high degree of mechanical strength and wear resistance.

secutex-Techno

secutex-Techno is characterised by high hardness (70° Shore D) and rigidity over a wide temperature range.

Made from a single mould

Worm screws, gear wheels, slide rails and other technical mouldings are today made of engineering plastics such as POM (polyoxymethylene), PA (polyamide) or PE (polyethylene). These materials with different property profiles (negative high water absorption with PA, poorer wear behaviour with PE) are supplied as sheets or rods. The required moulded parts are then produced by mechanical processing (turning, milling etc.) in a more or less complex manner. Effective injection moulding is only worthwhile for large quantities together with small component sizes, otherwise the high tool costs cannot be amortized.

secutex-Techno is characterised by high hardness (70° Shore D) and rigidity over a wide temperature range. It retains its high toughness down to -30 °C, has a high abrasion resistance and a low coefficient of friction.

The intrinsic colour is yellow, making it well suited for technical applications. Mechanical processing is simple and comparable with other hard plastics.

With secutex-Techno, the required moulded parts can be produced simply and inexpensively in simple casting moulds, eliminating the need for time-consuming machining. Mounting holes can be
The delivered components can therefore be mounted directly. The secutex-Techno material can be specifically cast into secutex moulds according to customer drawings. Customers can also order secutex-Techno in short lengths for further processing and are therefore not dependent on the usual dimensions of sheet material.

Eigenschaften von secutex-Zinkenschutz

1. Rutschhemmend
Die secutex-Beschichtung besteht aus Polyurethan. Durch die hohe Reibung der secutex Beschichtung liegt die Ladung sicher auf den Zinken, die Gefahr des Abrutschens der Last wird deutlich reduziert.

2. Lärm reduzierend
Durch den Einsatz der secutex-Zinkenschutzprodukte wird der Kontaktbereich von Ladung und Staplerzinken mit dem dämpfenden, elastischen secutex-Material ausgestattet. Lärm kann deshalb erst gar nicht entstehen.

3. Verschleißfest
Das secutex-Material ist äußerst robust und standfest. Durch die langen Standzeiten ergibt sich eine erhebliche Kostensenkung.

4. Einfach montierbar
Ersparen Sie sich umständliche Montagen: secutex-Zinkenschutzprodukte sind einfach zu befestigen. Durch einfaches Aufschieben bei den Zinkenschutzschuhen, durch Bolzen mit Splint bei den Gabelverlängerungen.

For particularly sharp edges: secuwave are thickly coated protective sleeves with a wave structure.

For critical edges

secutex protective sleeves protect loads and textile lifting accessories against marks left by handling. If an edge exceeds the range covered by the norm, the usual textile lifting accessories can no longer be used in conjunction with the secutex protective sleeve.

If the edge radius of a load is less than 2 mm, lifting experts refer to it as a “critically sharp edge“. secuwave and secuwave Mini are thickly-coated protective sleeves with a wave structure on the contact side.

The wave structure increases the bending radius of “sharp edges”. The edge lies in a wave trough, while the load rests on the wave peak. Therefore, the “sharp edge“ has no contact with the protective sleeve. secuwave is delivered as a clip. This means that it can be subsequently added to a lifting situation.

secuwave is available in two versions. The various sizes mean that the suitable wave size can be used. The smaller wave size means that the thick coating is more flexible in the bending direction. The larger wave structure is durable and is intended for larger edges. secuwave: wave profile prevents contact with the lifting strap.

The secuwave edge protector increases the edge radius on the load. The wave shape allows the edge protector to adapt under heavy loads.

For particularly heavy loads, normal secutex protective sleeves can only be used for larger edge radii because the heavy-load round slings under load are up to 80 mm thick. According to the technical definition, this creates a “sharp edge“. Both the load-bearing round slings as well as the protective sleeve will be destroyed by the forces which occur here. The secuwave edge protector increases the load’s edge radius. The wave profile helps the edge protector adapt to the load. The cast-in perforated plate then permanently keeps the shape. The additional secutex protective sleeve reliably prevents the edge protector from moving through the heavy-load round sling.

Possible applications: bridge elements, machinery, gear segments etc.

The secutex simple edge-protector SK-DE is easily pushed over the backside of the mounting slit and over the wire cable. It is affixed and can no longer be detached. The edge-protector is simple and versatile. The corner protector has a low deadweight and is quick and easy to handle thanks to the flexible textile reinforcement.

The secutex SK-KE simple edge-protector is simply placed onto the chain via the slit on the reverse side, making it impossible to lose. The edge-protector is light and flexible. Due to the low dead-weight and flexible textile reinforcement, the edge-protector can be attached easily and quickly to the load.

Secutex has the most modern machines for the production of compact and foamed polyurethane parts. Flexibility is necessary; the requirements of the customers are often very different:

Sizes of the parts
Wipers for steel tubes with a weight of a few grams up to sealing plates for large pipes weighing several hundred kg.

Quantities
From a single piece up to the production of several thousand deposit prisms for transport pallets in the area of car production.

Tolerances
In a steel mill deviations of 5mm are exact enough. In mechanical engineering, on the other hand, tolerances of a few tenths of a mm are required, which can only be reached by grinding the components afterwards.

To raise stacked coils

We recommend against turning stacked coils upright on the stack. The first choice for the raising of packages delivered in a horizontal position with split straps is therefore always a coil turning seat. However, there is not always a fixed installation for raising narrow coils. The secutex split-band turning strap has two different attachment ends. One end loop of the secutex lifting strap is flat, and can be easily threaded through the gap between the split bands. The flat end loop can then be easily hooked into the forged C-shackle. The protective sleeve is positioned against the “sharp edges“ of the coil. During lifting, the strap moves freely through the protective sleeve while the latter remains motionless against the load. There is no movement, and therefore no wearing against the “sharp edges“.

The solution

An end loop of secutex lifting slings for slit strips is flat and can easily be pushed into the gap between the slit strips. The flat end loop is then simply hung over the forged coil hook. The protective tubing is positioned at the sharp edges of the coil. During lifting the lifting sling moves freely within the protective tubing, while the latter remains fixed against the load. Therefore, there is no movement and at the sharp edges and hardly any wear.

The turning of stacked coils on the stack is liable to cause accidents, since the slit strip can slip over the bottom edge during erection. Therefore, as part of the kit you will always receive a slip resistant secutex turning mat which is simply placed under the tipping edge. A positive side-effect: the windings of the underlying coil are not damaged during the turning procedure.

Transversely-slit protective sleeve with low profile

While the stiffness of regular protective sleeves often makes lifting easier, it can be rather uncomfortable when handling smaller-sized loads. Small gaps and limited contact areas make handling the stiff protective sleeve more difficult in this situation.

The secutex “veloxClip“ is made with a slit along the reverse side. This makes it very flexible in the bending direction. In the longitudinal direction, on the other hand, the protective sleeve keeps its valued properties and remains stiff.

This makes it a very simple-to-use alternative when lifting loads with more limited contact areas. It is easy to insert through lower gaps and adapts flexibly to loads during lifting.
