Protective sleeve with single-sided coating

The secutex protective sleeve is optimally coordinated from a technical standpoint for the span-set lashing belt programme or the span-set round slings. The contact side is coated with secutex. It is extremely resistant and minimizes the build-up of wrinkles in the textile. The secutex protective sleeve with single-sided coating can be easily pushed over lifting equipment and protects against damage caused by “sharp edges” and the rough edges of the lifting equipment and the load at the same time.

Extremely tear-resistant contact side. In this version, the lifting strap is coated with two different types. The secutex layer on the contact side is extremely tear-resistant. The reverse side is coated with Powerflex. Powerflex prevents abrasion and provides additional protection to the textile against dirt and the penetration of foreign particles

Very flat and steady

This protective sleeve sits firmly on the lifting strap and therefore stays in its position when the lifting strap is in contact with the load. The contact side is coated with secutex which is extremely tear-resistant and reduces the formation of creases in the textile strap. The reverse side is coated with Powerflex and protected against abrasion and penetrating dirt.

The very flat form and resistance to bending in a longitudinal direction make it simple to insert the SFX-equipped strap into small gaps. The firm grip prevents unintentional slipping.

Direct coated surfaces

The coated wooden beams do not absorb oil or water and, due to their officially proven anti-slip properties, are perfectly suited as a load securing aid. The wooden beams become considerably more robust thanks to the secuGrip coating, and our customers praise the drastically improved service life, even in tough transport applications.

Directly sprayed surfaces can be produced seamlessly and without joints; these surfaces permanently seal the substrate against water and air. The secuGrip coating can also be sprayed directly onto hooks and other constructions.

secuGrip laminates are our new, self-adhesive anti-slip laminates that you can apply yourself.

The up to 2 mm thick secuGrip coatings have a high coefficient of friction and are extremely abrasion-resistant. Installation is as easy:

the back is coated with acrylate adhesive and holds on many different surfaces.

The acrylate adhesive itself:

  • has a high bonding strength
  • is temperature and weather resistant
  • is insensitive to moisture
  • provides for a tension equalization

secuGrip Sleeve

In combination with a SpanSet lifting sling, the protective sleeve is designed for use on edges with a radius greater than 2 mm (cut edge).

Extremely Solid and Durable

In combination with a SpanSet lifting sling, the protective sleeve is designed for use on edges with a radius greater than 2 mm (cut edge). The secuGrip protective sleeve protects the lifting slings when they are used in rough conditions. This combination is not recommended for turning a load and for sharp edges.
Typical applications are boat slings for lifting boats and coastal trawlers with rough underwater hulls. Here, the lifting slings are reliably protected against cuts and other damages. Fixing the secuGrip protective sleeves with thin ropes prevents slippage reliably.
The secuGrip protective sleeves are coated on both sides with a resistant polyura in the standard layer thickness of 3 – 4 mm. Polyurea is highly weather-resistant and so excellently qualified for outdoor use and in combination with salt water. The secuGrip protective sleeves have an inner reinforcement made of polyester fabric, so the polyurea cannot stretch permanently and therefore will remain very resistant.
The surface has a microstructure, moisture and dirt get into the pores and the secuGrip material has a direct contact with the load.

The secuGrip protective hose is offered in two qualities:

  • secuGrip75 with a hardness of 75° Shore A:
    This material is soft and so well suited for sensitive surfaces such as those of plastic boats.
  • secuGrip90 with a hardness of 90° Shore A::
    This material is significantly harder and more robust, and therefore good for the extremely rough surfaces of work boats.

The new patent-protected secumove coating combines the advantages of a protective sleeve and a sleeve with a fixed coating. The protective secutex coating is firmly attached to a loop of the lifting strap. The other end of the lifting strap slides freely through the sleeve and is used to equalise the lengths. secumove thereby ensures that there is no movement over “sharp edges”.

No movement, no wear: when nothing moves, nothing becomes worn. The service life of the newly-developed secumove coating is therefore significantly increased, even when used with rough loads.

secumove is optionally also available with proven metal plate reinforcement for “critically sharp edges“. For these heavy duty loads, we recommend specialist on-site advice. Important uses include, for example, the careful lifting of load-bearing trusses or sheet packages and coils. secumove is not suitable for turning.

When lifting machinery components, there are always edges and surfaces which are insufficiently protected by regular edge-protectors and protective sleeves. Textile load lifting accessories cannot always be used, as the cables or chains being used press against the load with extreme pressure. Damage to the often expensive and highly-machined components is often unavoidable and the edges must be re-worked at great cost.

The secuPad is DIN A4 size and can easily be placed at critical locations by hand. It consists of multiple textile layers joined together on every side. It adapts flexibly even to difficult contours. The surface is coated in Powerflex and protected against abrasion and the penetration of shavings and lubricants.

The light and mobile coil mat was designed for the storage of coils. It is convenient to use. Thus, makeshift storage can be set up rapidly and flexibly. Alternatively, existing storage can be expanded should bottlenecks arise.

The flexible coil mat with surrounding oil pan was designed for oil-free storage room floors. The coil mat and the surrounding oil pan are made from a single casting. Oil spillage and the associated slip hazard for employees is thereby prevented.

Excellent handling, as the loops of the wear strap are extremely flat and can be easily inserted under the load. The rigid wear strap can be easily pushed even through narrow gaps.

Improved efficiency, as the crane does not have to be lowered as far. Experience has shown, lifting processes have been significantly improved.

Extra light, as the textile material of the sling offers a clear weight advantage over steel cables or chains.

Economical, as only the low-cost wear strap has to be replaced!

Durable, as the loop of the wear strap is coated and is therefore protected against wear.

If the load has sharp edges or has a rough surface, suitable abrasion or edge protection must be used. secutex edge protectors are easy to handle and flexible to use. The optional version with magnets means that the edge protectors are easy to place on magnetic loads. Furthermore, the secutex edge protection drastically extends the lifespan of the load lifting accessory.

When attaching with chains or cables, the surfaces and edges of the load must also be considered as „sharp edges“ as they can result in damage to the lifting cable. A „sharp edge“ exists whenever the edge radius („r“) is smaller than the Diameter („t“) of the cable or the chain.

secutex edge protectors provide protection for the load and lifting accessory. secutex consists of an incredible polyurethane elastomer with particularly-impressive physical and chemical properties:

High structural performance

As opposed to other chemical products, secutex offers extreme tear-resistance. This means that the secutex material can be stretched to 500% of its original length without tearing.

Exceptional elasticity

In comparison with regular rubber, secutex offers significantly higher elasticity. Even under extreme temperature fluctuations – secutex remains elastic.

Extreme wear resistance

secutex is almost impossible to break down. In terms of resistance to wear through water, secutex is better than many metals.
