secutex Impact Protection for screwing

This is our top seller – secutex buffer pad with a perforated plate. Easy and flexible to use and can be fixed reliably with the perforated plate as reinforcement. In this way, you will have a universal impact protection in a short time.

Size and quantity of the drill holes depend on the substructure and must be specified on site.

Selection of the screws
We recommend screw sizes up to a maximum of 6mm, any larger dimension does not provide additional strength in combination with the cast-in perforated plate.

  • As screws we recommend hexagon socket screws with low head according to DIN 7984 or DIN 6912.

Not recommended:

  • Countersunk screws; inefficient transfer of the force into the impact protection,
  • Bolts with hexagon head; the nut grips the bolt on the outside, the borehole must be much larger for this.
  • Normal screws with hexagon socket; the screw head is significantly higher, the impact protection must be thicker in order to compensate this.

Please note that under no circumstances the cast-in perforated plate can take any static functions. If a specific position of the perforated plate is required due to design reasons, this must be specified at the time of inquiry and order.

Screws, Rivets

Secutex Impact Protection has a cast in reinforcement made of perforated plate in almost all cases. In this way the profiles can be easily screwed on.

Here are the advantages:

  • Simply placed, fix the screws, Done
  • Exchangeability guaranteed; due to the cast-in holes, measurement faults are impossible.
  • Reliable stability, due to the cast-in perforated plate. For unreinforced plastic, the drilled holes can easily be insufficient; cast-in washers are not fully effective as drill hole reinforcement..

Application areas:

  • Walls, floors, surfaces to be protected,
  • Transport equipment
  • Wherever values have to be protected
  • Prevention against wear
  • Noise protection, collision protection

Examples:

  • Collecting basins
  • Gripper
  • Pallet truck
  • Coil hooks
  • Forklift
  • Corner protection
  • Wall and area protection

1. Machine Screws
This is the most common method for mounting the secutex buffer pads. The suitable drill holes are casted directly into the secutex, the hole itself is reinforced.

Recommended distance between the holes:
Distance to the sides: 50 mm
Distance between holes: approx. 250 mm

2. Bolts, integrated

The perfect spare part…
No holes in the secutex impact protection material, the screw-on bolts are welded directly onto the perforated plate. This eliminates problems with missing screws and inaccurately placed drill holes.

Recommended distance between the holes:
Distance to the sides: 50 mm
Distance between holes: approx. 250 mm

3. Wood screws

No fastening holes required…
The transparent secutex buffer pads can be easily fastened to suitable surfaces such as wood etc. with self-tapping wood screws. Simply place it on the surface, the screw automatically cuts its way through the flexible secutex material. Afterwards, only the entry hole is visible, the secutex surface is almost intact.

4. Rivets
Secutex buffer pads has a cast-in reinforcement made of perforated plate in almost all cases. This makes it easy to fix the profiles with rivets. They can be fastened from the top side, for which the suitable holes are required. When fixing from the back, small holes in the perforated plate grid are enough, the surface remains intact.

Here are the advantages:

  • Simply placed, fix the rivets fixed, Done
  • Exchangeability guaranteed; due to the cast-in holes, measurement faults are impossible.
  • Reliable stability, due to the perforated plate. For unreinforced plastic, the drilled holes can easily be insufficient; cast-in washers are not fully effective as drill hole reinforcement..
